VISITORS to Dartmoor National Park Authority's High Moorland Visitor Centre can experience something of the rugged beauty of the Dartmoor landscape throughout the seasons, and in all weather conditions, through a new exhibition of traditional oil paintings by Lucy Evans. Lucy is largely self-taught and has painted for 12 years. She lives mainly in Bath but her haven and base for her painting expeditions onto the moor is a small sheep farm, run by her sister in Peter Tavy. The accuracy of colour in her work and her ability to capture the changing moods of the moor helps to transport the viewer into the landscape, making her paintings popular with all who have an interest in this special place. The exhibition will run until Sunday, March 2. The High Moorland Visitor Centre is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
