DAREDEVIL teddy bears will be making for Peter Tavy this bank holiday.
The village is hosting the eleventh annual meeting of the Dartmoor Teddy Bears' Dangerous Sports Association. Entrants bungee jump from the church tower and take part in other challenges, including speeding down a commando-style 'death slide' and being hurled from a medieval siege catapult.
It is all part of Peter Tavy Village Fayre, which takes place in the village hall and chapel grounds on Monday August 29, starting at 2.30pm.
The event also includes a variety of stalls selling home-made and garden produce, as well as bargains and second-hand books
The eighth annual 'Peter Tavy Plod' foot race takes place at 3pm and covers a mile and a half. For more details, contact Dave Chanter on 01822 810598.
The event ends with a pasties and quiz evening in the village hall.
The fayre raises funds for the hall, church and chapel.
