A DECISION on whether dancing should continue until 2am at Tavistock's Crown Centre has been deferred.
An application to extend the centre's public entertainments licence until 2am on Saturday nights was due to be heard by West Devon Borough Council's licensing panel last Thursday morning.
Licensing officer Roger Collins said it had been put back to December 12, so that the applicant has time to consider objections received from local residents.
The club currently has a 1am licence for its Thursday night dance, a 2am licence for Fridays and 1am on Saturdays.
The licensing panel will convene at Tavistock's Town Hall at 9.30am on Tuesday December 12.
Members of the public will have the right to make a short presentation before a decision is made.
