TAVISTOCK AFC fan and golf manager, Dan Lowe, has got close and personal with the 2010 Ryder Cup bag design.

Dan, a 25-year-old ex-golf management student from Duchy College entered the competition for fun but was delighted when his design was chosen for the amateur bag design.

'I purposefully didn't follow any traditional designs and colours as golf has a tendency to become a little stale at times' Dan said. 'I was trying to think of a smart design that looked eye catching and I thought, why keep it in golf?

'I based this design on a team I've followed since the day I could walk, Tavistock AFC, who's striking red and black home kit has always looked great'.

Dan the golf manager from Hawkesyard Country Estate in the Midlands is pictured with one of only 125 to be made, and his winning edition has been signed by none other than the 2010 European Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie. The bags are selling well and at a limited edition, some have been selling for almost £2000!
