FIREFIGHTERS from Yelverton were called to deal with a car fire at Hoo Meavy on Monday afternoon.

The crew used two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the blaze, which severely damaged the car. The fire occurred just before 4pm — no-one was injured during the incident.
