A WEST Devon student has pulled in a string of trophies thanks to her talent for dance.

Tavistock College student Daisy Bosworth (left), 12, trains in ballet, tap and modern dance and competes in around four festivals per year.

Daisy said: 'I won the last Plymouth Festival lyrical modern category and received a cup. You perform a two-minute dance on stage in front of an audience and adjudicator and you're competing against approximately 15 people. I felt proud to win because I'd been working on that dance and I beat a lot of people.'

Daisy also came first at Bugle Festival in the ballet and lyrical modern section, third in the South West of England Ballet Championships and third in the Tap Championships held in Paignton.

She plans to continue competing and hopes to study dance.
