l Pedal power took over the roads of Dartmoor this week with not one, but two, major cycling events taking place. Last Thursday national attention was focused on the Tour of Britain (see pages 20 and 37) and on Sunday more than 1,000 local riders took part in the Tour de Moor in aid of St Luke's Hospice (see page 11).
