AN annual charity drive by Curves of Tavistock, raised 533lbs of food to be donated to the town's foodbank.
Throughout March, both Curves members and the wider community donated food items in aid of the cause.
The Curves Charity Drive this year collected many thousands of pounds and items across Europe, which will be distributed to a local charity of each club's choice.
Jackie Cleaver, the manager of Curves Tavistock, said: 'Our members' generosity is a true reflection of the Curves spirit and community. We are thrilled with the outstanding effort from our members and friends of Curves.'
Curves members also contributed to the charity drive through a special promotion which allowed them to join for a donation to the chosen charity, instead of the regular joining fee.
Jackie said 'The charity drive is a vital part of our community programme that fits perfectly with the Curves philosophy of promoting positive health and creating a community for "real women". We look forward to many years of giving back to the community through deserving charities such as the Tavistock Foodbank.'
