THROUGHOUT March, Curves Tavistock will be collecting non-perishable food for the 15th annual Curves Food Drive, which will be donated to Tavistock Foodbank.
Curves, on Westbridge Industrial Estate, will waive its service fee for new members from March 1 to 31, in return for one large bag of non-perishable food to be donated to the foodbank. Existing members will also be encouraged to donate non-perishable food to the charity.
Jackie, manager at Curves Tavistock, said: 'Collecting non-perishable food during the annual Curves Food Drive is something which unites the Curves community globally — we're delighted to be involved with the food drive, whose goals of supporting and strengthening people in the local community match Curves' core values extremely well.'
Curves has been collecting and donating to charities during the food drive for the past five years. Jackie said: 'The Food Drive is a vital part of our community programme. We look forward to many years of giving back to the community through deserving charities such as Tavistock Foodbank.'
