KELLY and Bradstone 25th consecutive flower show was held in Meadwell Village Hall on August 19. Prizes were presented by West Devon and Torridge MP Geoffrey Cox, who was introduced by village hall chairman Raymond Brewer. Treasurer Mrs Belinda Fuller gave a vote of thanks to Mr Cox, after he had been presented with a buttonhole by Kirsten Harrison and Mrs Cox a bouquet by James Harrison. Mr Cox remarked on the high standard of entries, congratulated the participants for their hard work in making it a memorable show and the show committee for the excellent organisation. There were 276 entries ? many were by the children who had nurtured marigold seedlings for a couple of months, thus giving an excellent colourful display. Refreshments were served by the committee, followed by an auction of donated exhibits, conducted by Roger Eggins.
