ZEAL dominated the first half and should have gone in at half-time leading by four or five goals instead of one.

Having failed to score when in on the keeper three times in the first ten minutes, Zeal paid the penalty as Culm broke and went ahead when a magnificent strike gave Adam Cann in the Zeal goal no chance.

But Zeal scored two good goals made by Redd Cann and finished by Harley Cann and Nick Pollard respectively to go in at the break 2-1 up.

Zeal started to tire in the second half and although under pressure broke constantly and went 4-1 up when Harley Cann scored twice, the first a brilliant individual goal and the second from a free kick that was fumbled by the Culm keeper.

Although Zeal could have scored two or three more, Culm came back strongly at the end and scored two goals to get within one of the home side who managed to hold on for a well deserved victory.

The previous week Zeal took a below strength side to Honiton where they lost 5-1, Harley Cann scoring the only goal for Zeal. On Sunday week, Zeal were well beaten in the Okehampton Cup by Okehampton firsts.
