Duchy League Division Four Cup
St Teath . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0
Lamerton . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8
ON a pitch which played remarkably well despite recent heavy rain Lamerton cruised into the next round of the cup againt their western division opponents.
Things began well when Kev Fedrick crossed the ball from the by-line for Jimmy Cole to slide it home.
Lee Hunter then bulged the back of the net from close range before Fedrick and Cole again combined for Cole?s second. Three up after twenty minutes, chances came and were missed ? one long range effort from Simon Breyley coming particularly close.
The second half began with the visitors again on the attack and within seven minutes Fedrick had converted a hat trick, two close range headers and a chip over the keeper. Further goals came when Grahame Cole scored his first for the club and Hunter fired in his second. Overall, Lamerton played the ball about well with the defence and Pete Daniel in goal having little to do particularly as the game progressed.
This Saturday away versus Bere Alston in the league k.o. 2.30pm.
