ST EUSTACHIUS Church, Tavistock, is celebrating St Eustachius' day this weekend with a cricket match and beer festival.
Starting at 1.30pm on Saturday, at the Ring, the home of Tavistock Cricket Club, a clergy XI made up of local parishioners of all ages will take on a lay readers' XI. Half-way through the afternoon, a tea will be served, free for all players and spectators. At the end of play, a hog roast will be available, and the clubhouse will host a beer festival.
Then on Sunday, special services to mark St Eustachius will be held at the parish church; a festival communion service at 9.45am, and a festival evensong with a guest preacher at 6pm.
All are warmly welcomed to both events.
