POLICE, firefighters and ambulance staff were called to Plymouth Road last Thursday (December 19) after a car had collided with the pelican crossing by the bus station and then the wall of Abbey Mead Dental Practice.
Just after 11.30am, two crews from Tavistock were called following a request from ambulance staff, as the incident had resulted in the driver becoming trapped in a green Citroen Picasso.
Shortly after arriving, firefighters confirmed that all were free and clear of the vehicle, and that the female casualty was in the hands of paramedics.
The woman was taken to hospital, with minor injuries.
Crews made the vehicle and area safe, awaiting the arrival of both Highways and Western Power.
The incident was left in the hands of the police.
