OKEHAMPTON Library will hold two workshops for children and their parents later this month.

On Thursday October 13, families are invited to draw and make fantastic creatures on the theme of Eric Carle, author of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The event from 1.15pm to 3.15pm is aimed at under 5s and their parents.

On Wednesday October 26, families are invited to learn about the basics of manga cartoon art, which originated in Japan and has spread in popularity. The event, from 10am to noon is aimed at children aged eight to eleven and their parents. All resources are provided.

Both events are free but spaces are limited so book is advised on 01837 52805.
