ARLA Foods' Taw Valley Creamery is celebrating after an outstanding performance at this year's Cheshire County Show, which took place this week.

The creamery picked up nine awards, including six gold, two silver and one bronze, beating its great performance last year.  Arla Foods' creameries came away with eleven gold, five silver and four bronze awards at the show. 

The North Tawton-based creamery triumphed in several categories. 

As well as scooping the prestigious President Choice gold award, the creamery gained gold in the Best Dressed Cheese, Organic Cheese, Speciality Hard Cheese, Red Leicester and Mild Cheddar categories.

Brian Kerr, site manager at Taw Valley Creamery said: 'We're delighted that our cheeses have won nine awards at the recent Cheshire County Show. 

'Not only have we picked up a gold award in the coveted President Choice category, we've also succeeded in beating our impressive result of seven awards from last year's show. 

'We're incredibly proud of the great quality cheeses we produce and to have received such recognition is a real honour.'
