LOCAL musical talent will be showcased at an event being organised by Buckland Monachorum Cricket Club this month.

Crapfest is a music festival organised to help raise funds for a new pavilion — and at a cost of around £50,000 there is a lot of fundraising to be done.

The event will include artists Kitty and the Lost Boys, and Tavistock singers Jo Harris and Edd Lane.

It starts at 5pm and runs until midnight on September 11 at the Lady Seaton Sports Field, Crapstone.

There will be a selection of local ales, as well as cider and soft drinks. A barbecue will be available with a vegetarian option.

Tickets are on sale at the Drake Manor Inn in Buckland Monachorum, the Who'd Have Thought It Inn in Milton Combe, via the website http://www.crapfest.co.uk">www.crapfest.co.uk or by calling (01822) 854562.

Adults are £5 and children are £1.50.  Crapfest t-shirts are on sale from today via 01822 854562.
