A WIDE variety of crafts will be on show at Cheriton Bishop?s 13th annual Craft Fair in the village hall next weekend in aid of Save the Children.
As the charity is celebrating its 85th birthday this year, the theme for the fair is ?anniversaries? with a small prize for the stall which best captures this theme.
Crafts on display will include pottery, wood turning and carving, printing and wood engraving, stationery, jewellery, needle-made cushions, stained glass, natural dye woollen crafts and ?straight from the sheep? wool items.
Visitors to the show which is in Cheriton Bishop Village Hall from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, October 16, will have the chance to buy some unusual and unique gifts and meet the crafts people who make them.
The fair is organised by the Crediton branch of Save the Children who will have cards, catalogue goods, cakes, preserves, plants and handicrafts on sale.
Last year?s event raised £1,200 for Save the Children to improve the lives of poverty-stricken children around the world.
Refreshments are available throughout the day with home-made soups, filled rolls and cakes at lunchtime. The village hall committee receives 50% of the proceeds of the morning coffee and lunches.
