TAVISTOCK Rotary Club this week issued an appeal to young people in the area who may be interested in applying for a special award programme aimed at improving leadership and communication skills. The Rotary Youth Leadership Award programme blends physical and cerebral activities, enabling young people to debate issues of professional responsibility, while having fun. It comprises an intensive programme of outdoor activities and tasks aimed at team building skills, along with a series of projects and lectures from high achieving people based in the area. Rama Nand-Lal, Rotary Club president, said: 'We are looking for people who have potential to become leaders in the community, particularly those who have not had opportunity to develop their skills.'
