A COURSE on play ground inspection training is being offered to managers of play facilities in West Devon next week.

The course, run by the Devon Playing Fields Association (DPFA), is aimed at improving the knowledge, expertise and confidence of volunteers, playground managers, clerks to parish councils or local councillors.

The event will be delivered by level three play safety inspector Mike Langsford and DPFA secretary Charlotte Weedon.

The course will include a 'walk and talk' around a playground looking at equipment and surfaces.

The course will take place on April 6 at Hatherleigh Community Centre from 10am to 4pm and costs £35 per delegate for DPFA members and £70 for non members.
