I WAS shocked to read your recent article on Ms Jones and the proposed new car park at the rear of her property. This surely must remind us of Stalinist dictator, Eastern Bloc, Berlin Wall methods of local government, and then to say they intend to charge Ms Jones for 19 years of trespass! This is turning into a nightmare of Orwellian proportions! Do they intend to incarcerate her in Room 101 until she obeys orders? Cannot the council enter into a dialogue with this lady, or do we need to storm the gates of Tavistock Town Council with fire and sword to restore the voice of reason?
