CONCERNING the damaged Tamar Bridge, surely it should have been possible for the Highways Agency to arrange for the safety barrier blocking the gap in the bridge wall to be less wide so as to allow continued use of the bridge by the many people needing to drive from Gunnislake to Tavistock and vice versa.

The non-availability of the bridge for traffic has caused very considerable inconvenience.
