STAFF at Costa in Tavistock will be looking ready to race as they dress up as Olympians for a day of fundraising on Saturday (July 28).

The café will be decked out in an Olympic theme and staff will sell cupcakes, do face painting and hold mini competitions.

The event is to raise money for the Costa Foundation, which aims to improve the welfare of coffee-growing communities in countries such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Uganda and Vietnam.

For this event, the main aim is to raise money to teach children in Vietnam their national language.

Owner of Costa, the Whitbread Company, has promised to double whatever the store raises.

The café will also host a quiz night on Sunday evening, with cash prizes.
