A VARIETY of cooks will be demonstrating their skills at an event at the Moorland Links Hotel in aid of the BBC Radio Devon Chestnut Appeal.
The event is being organised by the Plymouth and District branch of Watch Ashore on Thursday, May 13 at 7.30pm and will be compered by Judi Spiers.
Only West Country produce will be used and cooks will include Plymouth?s Lord Mayor David Stark and consultant surgeon Mr Salvonati.
Stalls will include Hogs Bottom Garden Delight from Tavistock.
The appeal is raising funds towards the £1-million target to provide a prostate scanner at Derriford Hospital.
THE Tavistock Triangle Centre at Tavistock Hospital is celebrating its third year of helping people in the area to overcome difficulties associated with cancer treatments.
The centre provides counselling, complementary therapies and financial advice to patients and carers touched by cancer and holds a drop-in centre every Friday between 10am and 4pm.
