FIREFIGHTERS from Callington and Saltash were called to reports of a cooker hood on fire at a domestic property in St Dominick on Friday afternoon.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and on investigation, the blaze was found to have been caused by water dripping onto the electrics of the hob.
