Already crowned champions of the Tavistock Social Club Snooker League Conservative A finished off their season in unbeaten style, inflicting a 5-0 defeat on second place West Devon A.

The first four frames could have gone either way such was the closeness of the encounter. Babb for Con had to claw his way back from behind to overcome Heathman on the black ball.

Clash of the league heavyweights was next with unbeaten Kevin Rich against Con's Carruthers. It went neck and neck all the way it was Carruthers who eventually took more of the limited opportunities to leave Rich requiring snookers on the pink. A fluked pink by Rich proved fatal, giving the frame to Carruthers and with it the first defeat for Rich in two seasons (a superb run by any standards).

Evans completed the victory for Con with a narrow win over Hawke with both players playing well below their par. Cook took a while to settle but eventually made it four for Con with a win over Hurford.

In the final frame, Folley against Emptage, Folley led from the start and managed to do enough to keep the lead but never taking total control. A nice couple of colours at the end were enough to seal it for Folley and Emptage to offer his hand. This was a fitting climax to another solid season for Con A, and West Devon again proved what worthy opponents they are.
