Duchy 4

St Teath 2

Mary Tavy 6

MARY Tavy made their longest trip of the season and were hoping to take full advantage of their games in hand. But the home team scored against the run of play.

Mary Tavy soon recovered from the early setback and set about playing some good football. Alan Grylls spared their blushes to take them in at the interval all level.

During the break the away team must have figured out exactly why things were not going to plan as in the second period they terrorised the St Teath defence to take a commanding 5-1 lead.

Grylls turned up the heat as he took his total for the season to 19 with a hat-trick.

Man of the match Dominic Reeves with a fine solo effort and a cool strike by James Coole saw them take control of the match.

St Teath pulled another back with a superb strike which beat Chris Hurford who was looking solid in the Mary Tavy goal.

But the away team had the last say as Coole grabbed his second with a brave header. It was Mary Tavy all the way to the whistle for a convincing three points.
