WEST Devon residents will be able to find out about public services, leisure facilities and volunteering when the Connect road show goes out and about this March.
Connect, is an outreach service co-ordinated by West Devon Borough Council, which aims to take advice and information out to rural areas.
In March, the road show will be visiting Belstone, Exbourne, Chagford, Hatherleigh and Princetown. Everyone is welcome at the free drop-in events.
For those looking to get fit this spring, Okehampton Parklands Leisure Centre will be joining the road show at some locations offering free adult taster sessions for swimming, badminton and the gym.
The Community and Voluntary Service (CVS) will also be on hand at certain events to chat about volunteering opportunities. Every Connect roadshow is hosted by a borough council advisor who can answer questions about public services.
The Connect dates for March are: 1, Exbourne The Burrow Cafe 10am– noon with Parklands Leisure Centre; 5, Hatherleigh Market 9.30am–noon with Oakhouse Foods and CAB; 8, Chagford Library 10.30am–12.30pm with CVS; 14, Belstone Village Hall 10am–noon with Parklands Leisure Centre, borough council recycling officer, The Senior Voice and Oakhouse Foods; 19, Hatherleigh Market 9.30am–noon with Parklands Leisure Centre, CVS and CAB; 20, Princetown Community Centre 1.30pm–3.30pm with Fire Service, South West Water and CALL 24; 22, Chagford Library with Parklands Leisure Centre.
