OKEHAMPTON Excelsior Silver Band's spring concert has raised a splendid £550 for charity.

The band held the concert on April 25 to raise money for FORCE — Friends of the Oncology and Radiotherapy Centre, Exeter.

The charity supports people in the area suffering from cancer, and last year completed an extension on its specialist cancer support and information centre.

The band has expressed thanks to everyone who attended for their generosity in helping to reach this total.
