THE Ten Tors Orchestra Chamber Ensemble will perform at St Paul?s Church, Yelverton on Friday March 12, 7.30pm.
The concert opens the Ten Tors Orchestra 2004 spring and summer series and features David Shead performing Telemann?s D major Trumpet Concerto. David is the principal trumpet with both Ten Tors Orchestra and is a popular guest soloist with orchestras throughout the UK.
The chamber ensemble of violins Malcolm Latchem and Brenda Willoughby, viola Keith Lovell, Cellos Michael Evans and Vicky Evans and harpsichord, George Pratt will perform trios and quintets by Purcell and Imogen Holst. The main work of the programme is Schubert?s majestic quintet for Strings in C Major.
