Exbourne Primary School hosted its first ever cross country event last Friday, March 4.

Class teacher and event organiser Helen Dickinson said: 'It was an inaugural event with over 100 children taking part.

'We enjoyed an excellent afternoon's racing and all the children did very well indeed.'

The course was challenging and undulating, but was softened by the wonderful weather which provided perfect running conditions, said Helen, who expressed thanks to all the parents, marshalls and event organisers.
