Competition was hot for juniors at Exeter Aquathlon

TWO junior Tavistock triathletes competed at the Exeter Junior Aquathlon last weekend, on a very hot Sunday. 

This event, which was held immediately after the adult aquathlon, was well attended, with about 50 children taking part.  

Emily Attfield, 12, and Pete Jarman, 13, both competed in the TriStar 3. 

They first had to swim 300m followed by a quick transition, and then run 2,400m. 

Emily had a superb race, taking first place in her category for the girls with a swim time of 4.09 and a run time of 15.10. 

Pete took third place in his category for the boys.

In a very competitive race he finished in a swim time of 4.26 and a run time of 15.01.

Both Emily and Pete received medals and Easter eggs as prizes.
