THE Guy Fawkes carnival, organised each year by Northlew Silver Band members, will be on Friday November 2. Judging of the fancy dress classes, for adults and children, will be in the Victory Hall starting at 7.30pm. This will be followed by the torchlit procession when the local clergy will lead the band, escorted by blazing torches, around the village to the bonfire. Fancy dress competitors will join the procession and there will be refreshments available. Everyone is welcome.
