BRENDA Curtis and Helen Thorne are holding an afternoon cream tea at East Worth, Northlew, tomorrow (Friday). Teas will be served from 3 to 5pm and there will also be stalls and a raffle. The proceeds of the afternoon will be for Home Start and all are welcome. THE Vicar conducted the family service at the parish church on Sunday morning. Readings were given by Thomas Turner, Aleesha Robinson-Crocker and Jessica Welham and the prayers were led by Mrs M Wilson. Mrs R Squire was sidesman and also served coffee in the churchroom after the service. At the evening celebration of holy communion the lessons were read by Dr M Livingstone and D Chivers and he played the organ at both services. J Dufty was sidesman. This Saturday there will be a ploughman?s lunch in the churchroom in aid of church funds. All welcome. The parish notice board has been refurbished and sited in a different place from its original home. It is now on the wall of the churchroom, towards the Post Office. This makes it more accessible to the public. Also it will be sheltered from the weather.
