ALTHOUGH Sturminster are second in the league Columbines will be disappointed to have lost this game after having the edge in the first half.
For the first time this season Okehampton were injury-free and started confidently, not allowing Sturminster to settle.
Sue Stanbury several times picked up the ball in midfield to lay on good chances for the forwards to score.
Alex Collins also blasted a free hit into the circle but Columbines failed to convert.
Okehampton created the better chances in the first half, but failed to keep on the pressure up front in the second.
Despite a well-organised defence led by Elaine Morgan, Okehampton went behind to a well-struck Sturminster goal.
Columbines seemed to lose heart and did not regain their first-half form. Sturminster eventually ran out 2-0 winners.
