Okehampton Colts 15 Sidmouth Colts 21 OKEHAMPTON were caught asleep in the first five minutes and found themselves 14 points down as Sidmouth capitalised on poor defence. Once awake Okehampton made Sidmouth work harder as fierce tackling in the fly half channel and centre stifled repeated attacks. Okehampton chipped out of defence on the wing, allowing a strong open field run by the home side with a poor tackle on the opposite wing giving Sidmouth their third converted try. Gary Sizmur played another excellent game at scrum half and the forwards generated plenty of ball with Chris Searle, Tom Bird and Tom Cockerham all putting in good performances. Lineouts were disapponting for both teams as a gusting wind made throws difficult. Wing Chris Adams scored a brace of tries in the corner after good teamwork and Tom Powell took a try in the dying moments with a dummy pass and strong run in the 22. Okehampton lost the match with the poor attention in the first quarter but finished the stronger of the two sides. Man of the match: Andy Herrod-Taylor.
