Mount House Colts B cricket team completed their season unbeaten when they beat Exeter Prep by five wickets.
Exeter got off to a flying start in their first ten overs. Mount House were stirred into action, and the run rate reduced significantly as wickets began to fall. Jamie Anderson and the captain Giles Malcolm bowled good line and length so that only 10 runs were conceded in the last four overs of the Exeter innings.
Anderson (2 for 14) and Malcolm, together with Rory Miller (2 for 5) were the pick of the bowlers and William Paull made a fine stumping as Exeter ended their 20 overs on 109 for 7 wickets.
On 54 for 4, the Mount House innings looked on the point of collapse, but Malcolm and Paull steadied the ship, with Malcolm hitting two sixes and two fours in ten balls before losing his wicket.
That brought in Barnaby Treneer (29no), who combined brilliantly with Paull (19no) for an unbeaten stand of 48 runs to Mount House a five wicket victory with 111 for 5.
