TAVISTOCK started slowly, making hard work of the initial rucks and mauls and allowing Liskeard to score the opening try.
Tavistock had a good passage of play which resulted in the ball coming out to the wing and a first try for newcomer Hayley Williams. Liskeard came back with a second try just before half-time.
Tavistock made a lot of good ground in the second half with neat passages of play and every tackle made first time.
A good ball taken blind by Zoe Colton resulted in a try in the bottom corner. This was followed by a second for fly half Colton as Tavistock pushed their way back up to the try-line and shipped the ball out wide.
Liskeard made good use of their five subs rolling on and off, but Tavistock remained strong and focused.
Further good play and tackling took Tavistock to the try-line again, where quick ball enabled Claire Kelly to score beneath the posts. This was converted by Terry Epston.
Tavistock?s next game is away to Withycombe on Sunday.
