TAVISTOCK College has for the first time been accepted to enter teams at all three levels for Ten Tors. The training programme involves both after-school and lunchtime route planning, theory and safety briefings, together with weekend physical moorland walking and navigational exercises through the challenging Dartmoor. The following have been submitted to the Army organisers as the team representatives of the college at this year?s event on May 13 to 14. Year ten students: Daniel Church, Samantha Fraser, Daniel Furneaux, Christopher Hutchins, Ben Nicholls and Marc Smerdon will be doing the 35 mile level. Year eleven and 12 students: Jonathan Martin, Christopher Dawe, Lawence Barnes, Mike Barton, Alex Harper and Bethany Salmon will take on the 45 mile level. The team doing the 55 miles will be Year 12 and 13 students Luke Viggers, David Bales, Taryn Gay, Solomon Lockhurst, Jamie Osborne and Tom Walters.
