PUPILS from Shebbear College walked from Meldon Reservoir to the top of Yes Tor as part of an educational walk led by Dartmoor chief education officer William Montague.

The third form pupils enjoyed a windswept picnic lunch on the tor after learning about the landscape, conservation and tourism on Dartmoor.

The trip was concluded at Okehampton Camp.

The pupils will produce individual projects on the trip, the grading of which will be added to their summer term geography exam.
