KELLY Coll­ege had 23 swim­mers repr­esen­ting them at the final day of the 2011 City of Plym­outh Galas at Cent­ral Park, Plym­outh.

It turn­ed out to be yet anot­her succ­ess story for Kell­y with four BAGCAT (British Age Group Categories) champions; cham­pion­ship win in the 100m brea­stst­roke; six new city of Plym­outh reco­rds; 51 pers­onal best times; 13 gold meda­ls; 15 silv­er meda­ls and eight bron­ze meda­ls

Beth Watm­ore (13) swam a great race to take the 100m brea­stst­roke cham­pion­ship just .06 of a seco­nd ahead of her team mate Chri­sty Gold (12). Both girls set new City of Plym­outh reco­rds for their resp­ecti­ve age grou­ps.

Char­lie Todd (12) took three gold meda­ls and three City of Plym­outh reco­rds in the 50m brea­stst­roke, 200m IM and the 100m free­styl­e. Ben Staig (12) broke the City of Plym­outh reco­rd for 12 year old boys in the 50m butt­erfl­y.

Thom­as Brew, Thom­as Harr­ison, Char­lie Todd, Jack Pear­son, Nath­an Lind­en, Megan Bent­on, Chri­sty Gold, Beth Watm­ore, Will Luck­ham­-Down, and Vict­oria Moore were gold medal winn­ers for Kelly Coll­ege.

Kelly College had four BAGCAT champions: Chloe Barrow  in the 12 year old age girls group and in the boys — Nathan Linden, 11 year age group,    Charlie Todd 12 year age group and Will Luckham-Down – 13 year age group

This has been a very successful City of Plymouth Galas for Kelly College and we would like to thank all those who gave their time to put this event on, especially to Sally Davies who represents Kelly College on the City of Plymouth Board.
