FIFTEEN members from Tavistock Athletic Club on Sunday turned out for the penultimate race of the season.
Conditions were cold and wet but this did not dampen their spirits.
In the U11s girls' race Emma Passmore carried on her form from the previous week and gained another second place.
Unexpectedly, Lizzy Bentley, in only her second race, ran extremely well to finish in fourth place, closely followed by Sarah Guy in fifth.
The U11 boys saw Nathan Wonnacott finish in sixth place after a good tussle with clubmate Jimmy Hubbard in seventh.
It was nice to see 11 juniors in these two races gain valuable points hopefully to retain the trophy won last year.
Shaun Hewitt in the U15 boys again ran strongly to finish second with a real gutsy run.
Senior vet men's saw Tim Powell finish 13th and Roger Hewitt 20th.
Well done to all those juniors and seniors who turned out in such bad conditions.
