DO you remember the Coffee Bar in Yelverton? Rose Cox, who used to spend time there with friends during the 60s, is hoping to meet up with as many people as possible during September or October, ?to see what people have done?, as part of a reunion. Rose, who used to go to Tavistock College, frequented the coffee bar when she was about 15-years-old, meeting people from Plymouth and the surrounding area for a good cup of coffee. The coffee bar, which was used by Rockers, was positioned just opposite the ?Leg O Mutton? pub, where the new Jasmine Chinese Restaurant is now, and was particularly popular between 1967 and 1969. The coffee bar went through a number of owners, including Mr and Mrs Jeavons, Liz and Charlie, and Don and Shirley Arnolds. People have already got in contact with Rose, and she would like to hear from anyone else who remembers the ?good old days?. To contact Rose, telephone 01752 309064.
