THE new Rotary president of Tavistock, Clive Fairchild, was entertained to dinner by the ladies of the Inner Wheel Club of Tavistock at their July meeting.

President of Inner Wheel Mrs Barbara Miller welcomed him. Mr Fairchild spoke about his aspirations for his coming year, and expressed the desire for the two clubs to work more closely together, particularly helping Cancer Care in Tavistock.

The Inner Wheel movement began in 1923 by a group of Rotarian wives.

It has followed the same principles as Rotary, raising awareness and money for local, national and overseas charities. The membership has now expanded to bring in members who are not just wives of Rotarians.
