THE charitable events of Okehampton Simmons Bowling Club have helped to support two worthy causes.

At its Christmas party on December 13, the club presented a cheque to Gay Hill of Hospiscare for £700, raised by the club from charity events held throughout the year, including Jean Middleton’s charity day. Two days later Dania Shaw from the Alzheimer’s Society visited Okehampton to receive a cheque for £500, money mainly raised from the pub and club league.
