THE presentation of Tavistock and District Netball Leagues awards for the 2004/05 season took place last week. The presentation marked the end of a very successful season, which saw a number of new players joining the league as well as continued success for the more experienced sides. WWA retained the league title, closely followed by SSG as runners up. Blue Angels picked up the award for most sporting team and Goal Attack Jordan Salmon received the award for most improved player. The award for most nominated player went to Anita Gubbins of Delaware. The presentation also marked the commencement of the league?s new junior division. The junior league will begin with a number of hour long training sessions running from June 7 at 5pm at Tavistock College, to the end of the month, which will then be followed up with league matches starting in September.
