Close-up look at police work for youngsters

CHILDREN from Exbourne Pre-School enjoyed a day with a difference at their Saturday morning fun session, when they were joined by PCSO from Okehampton Police Station, Danielle Moore-Dunstan.

The children tried on police clothes and helmets, before sitting in the police LandRover where they were told what the vehicle is used for and how the sirens and lights work.

The pre-school expressed thanks to PCSO Moore-Dunstan, who was on hand to answer children's questions, as well as explain the neighbourhood police website to the adults present.

The website explains what issues the police are tackling in the area.

PCSO Moore-Dunstan was also available to listen to any local concerns at Exbourne Village Hall last Friday.
