TAVISTOCK'S Ordulph Arms was the venue for the first Taste and See event of the autumn for a thought provoking talk given by life coach Tania West.

Tania is a leadership development trainer and coach working with senior leaders in Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. She is married with four grown up children and actively involved in the Exeter Community Family Trust, a charity she co-founded with her husband and local friends.

The ECFT exists to promote and strengthen marriage through marriage preparation and enrichment programmes and a soon to be launched, Explore programme in schools.

Tania's talk focused on the things that conspire to de-clutter our emotional lives and her thinking has been strongly influenced by her Christian faith.

Life laundry was a thought provoking exploration about what it takes to de-clutter our emotional life and embrace a freer and more fulfilled future. Four key issues to a freer life are: embracing forgiveness towards others on a daily basis, freedom to be ourselves, free to choose and free to live life for a purpose.

Finally, Tania posed the question what do we want people to be saying about us at our 80th birthday party? — assuming we make it that far!

Ruth Newman, chairman of Taste and See, thanked both Tania and the Ordulph Arms for an excellent evening.

The next Taste and See will take place in early December at the Orduph Arms. For more information about Taste and See contact Ruth Newman on 01822 616859.
