I AM writing in relation to your front page article (July 28) 'Make It A Tidy Tavy'.

May I suggest that the agency that carried out the development of the weir and canal inlet with its terrible robotic green digger-type arm be invited to turn up on the given day and remove some of the plastic dumpy bags used in the construction that still litter the river bed to this day!
