MADE-WELL near Hatherleigh will hold an open day on Thursday, September 15.
The community interest company provides a wide range of purposeful and positive day opportunities for people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities and mental ill health diagnosis.
The specially co-ordinated days are designed to promote personal growth by providing activities in leisure and learning life skills.
This year’s open day will take place from 10am to 3pm.
Made-Well is an inclusive organisation with an ethos of actively encouraging full participation regardless of age or background, the company encourages people to enjoy, experience and learn about horticulture, cookery, animal care, willow craft, therapeutic arts and countryside management.
Made-well has facilities and events open to the public, including animal petting, a newly completed children’s play area and a cafe that is stocked-up with snacks, homemade cakes and other refreshments.
There is also a gift shop as well as a variety of meat, vegetables and plants for sale.
